2- membership organization, currently around 5,000 members. Members are individuals and corporate according to the membership “levels”.

How are they funded?  Dues?  Grants?
3- funds come through membership “levels” [yearly dues], donations, and foundation grants

Do they have paid staff?
4- 32 full-time paid staff, plus volunteers and interns

Are they independent of government so they can lobby government?
5- independent of govt., does govt. lobbying

Do they also advocate for pedestrians?
6- “CBF recognizes the synergies between promoting bicycling and promoting walking and public transit. We align our advocacy with social equity and community improvement and we embrace the power of a broad multi-modal coalition to achieve our mission.” Staff positions include pedestrian planners and pedestrian program managers.

Are they non profit 501c3 organizations?
7- CBF is a 501(c)3 non-profit.
